08/22/2010 - St. Louis, MO (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The San Francisco Giants have been awarded outfielder Cody Ross after claiming him off waivers from the Florida Marlins.

Ross, a starting outfielder for the Marlins the past five years, is hitting .263 with 11 home runs and 58 RBI in 119 games this year.

It's the third outfielder the Giants have added to their roster in an effort to boost their offense down the stretch. The club signed free agent Pat Burrell to a contract in late May and acquired Jose Guillen in a trade with the Royals earlier this month.
