James, Cavs cruise past Bosh-less Raptors

Basketball Betting Lines

02/18/2009 - Toronto, ON (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - LeBron James narrowly missed a triple-double, recording 20 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to a convincing 93-76 win over the Toronto Raptors.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 22 points and six rebounds for the Cavaliers, who began the post All-Star break by winning for the sixth time in eight games. Mo Williams added 17 points and Wally Szczerbiak scored 11 for Cleveland, which shot 58 percent from the field.

Anderson Varejao had a season-high 14 rebounds for the Cavs, who have beaten the Raptors in five straight and nine of the last 10 meetings.

Shawn Marion had 10 points, six rebounds and six assists in his Raptors debut, but Toronto had a two-game win streak broken and lost for the seventh time in nine games. Marion was traded from Miami to Toronto last Friday, with the Heat obtaining center Jermaine O'Neal and forward Jamario Moon. Marcus Banks, who was also sent to Toronto, had four points Wednesday in his first game as a Raptor.

Toronto is still without All-Star forward Chris Bosh, who missed his fifth straight game with a sprained right knee.

Joey Graham topped Toronto with 15 points, while Jose Calderon scored 13.

James had 16 of his points in the second half, when the Cavs took control of the game.

Ahead 47-41 going into the third quarter, Cleveland immediately started to pull away. Ilgauskas accounted for six points during a 12-4 run to begin the quarter. James's bucket with 6 1/2 minutes remaining capped the rally for a 59-45 difference and the Cavs carried a 71-56 lead into the final quarter.

Daniel Gibson, who went out of the game for less than a minute late in the third quarter with a toe injury, banged in a three-pointer to push the lead to 76-60 early in the fourth, and the Cavs weren't threatened down the stretch.

Calderon's layup opened a 16-8 Toronto lead, but the Cavs came surging back and used a 14-4 spurt to end the quarter for a 24-23 lead.
